Hi there! It has been a while since I have blogged. I have had so much going on. I have been in school and looking for a job. Anyway I havnt had much time to blog or work on any projects. I just want to let everyone know that I am hoping to get back to the blogging and hoping for some time for scrapbooking. I have found some wonderful inspiration lately! So that said I will see you all soon.

I love to blog hop and look at the different challenge blogs. Sometimes it can be overwhelming though. There are so many great challenges out there. I have just completed a challenge for the Blog These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things. Its a movie quote challenge.Is anyone surprised that I did New Moon. Hey everyone! Hope all is well! I am doing pretty good. Back working in Homewood at an afterschool program..I love it! The people are great and I love being back with the kids. :)
I just wanted to let you know what is going on over at Scrappy times.

We still have our Color Combo Challenge going on! Jennessa Combo is Blue and Yellow and you have to add some bling to your card or LO! :) This challenge will run through Aug 14th so lets see what you've got! :)

We also have our Artist of the Month going on also! We have TIM HOLTZ! As our Artist of the Month! :) I love Tim Holtz. He so creative. So pull out those inks, dies and mask and lets see what you come up with! :)

A color combo challenge/contest! For Layouts and Cards!

Open to US and International!

Starts August 1st and ends August 31st.

Each challenge will be for 7 days and their will be a new challenge for each week!

The DT will have a color combo challenge with the instructions of what to use on your Layouts or cards!Each challenge must be emailed by midnight Central Standard Time to qualify for one point at the end of each challenge!After each challenge ends per week the DT will pick one of their favorites and the individual with the most votes will receive another point!During the last week of the challenge their will be a bonus challenge to earn an extra point! ( If you started late this will be a great opportunity for you too catch up!!)The winner will be the individual with the most points at the end of the contest on August 31st!If we have a tie then we will draw names for the gift certificate and the other person will receive an awesome RAK!!

Hello all! Well this poor little blog has been MIA for a while. :) I hope this post finds you all doing well. Just wanted to give you a little update! I am still job hunting. I do have a part time job lined up for the fall. I am going to be working at the afterschool program in Homewood again. I still pray that God will send me the teaching position He would have me in but I guess that will be in His time. I just have to continue to have patience. There are so many things going on in my life right now that I am just leaning on Him for. :)

Some fun news! I just celebrated my 30th birthday. It was such a good day to reflect on the last 30 years and to think about what I want to do in my next 30 years. Here is a pic from my birthday. I didnt have a big party, but I got my favorite meal and a yummy cake! :) We had Outback's Alice Spring Chicken and my mom made me a Moca Cake! :) Yum O! :)

Crazy Times and Fun Scrappy Stuff!! :)

Hey everyone! I hope this blog post finds you all doing well. I am doing ok. Its been a rough couple of weeks. I have been job hunting. I am hoping/trying to find something full time for the fall. Its just really difficult right now. I have also been dealing with and accident I was as in about a week ago. I was rear ended by someone, then pushed into the back of another car. So I have had to deal with that. My car will go into the shop on Monday and I will have a rental car for a few weeks.

We have some fun stuff going on at Scrappy Times right not. We are finishing up our Artist of the Month Challenges and getting ready for July. We have some fun things planned for July. Not to give to much away but, there is a sketch, a tutorial and a new Artist of the Month! :) Sound like fun..well stay tuned for more! :) Oh and there may be some other surprises! You never know! :) I am working on some DT things right now. I will share those goodies with you as soon as I can! :)

I also wanted to share some info about a contest that is going on over at a friends new challenge blog. My friend Julie has started a new challenge blog called These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things. Artist of the Month Challenge-Scrappy Times

My Artist of the Month challenge is up over at Scrappy Times! I hope you will go check it out. The challenge is to make an altered board book! :) I had so much fun making this book. I posted some pictures over at Scrappy Times but I thought I would post a couple here as well.

I love these pictures of David and Chance on the beach!
They had such a good time. Chance stayed right with David the whole time!

We enjoyed taking some family photos on the beach. However it began to get dark. but the pictures still came out priceless! :)

I hope you enjoy these pictures from my board book album. I enjoyed making the album. I hope to see what you all come up with for this fun challenge. A job hunt update!

Ok so just to update you all on my job hunt! I had an interview today at Calera Middle School for a 4th grade position. I am very very excited about this prospect. I loved the school and the area of town. I think it would just be a great place to live/work! :) I will hopefully hear something by the end of the week. Please keep the prayers going up! :)

I have finished a Beach album for my Scrappy Times Artist of the Month Challenge..I will try to get a sneak peek up tomorrow! If you havnt checked out the Scrappy Times Blog and forum...go check it out! There are some wonderful things going on there! :)

Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I just got back from a wonderful SS lesson at Church! I am always amazed at the blessings, strength and love I get from God. Even though I do not deserve it!

I have been crazy busy lately with many things. Mostly, trying to find a job for the fall. Yes the job hunt is in full force once agian. I interviewed in Montgomery last week. I am going to be following up with that one. I have sent many many many resume's out and applied for quite a few jobs online. We shall see where God takes me. I will keep you all up to date! :)

Hello everyone! Yep its me still alive. Its close to a month since I posted anything..I am so sorry about that. I hope you are all doing well. Lets see if I can fill you in on whats going on with me! :) I had a wonderful Easter with my family. Hoping to get some pages scrapped soon. Speaking of scrapbooking. I am so excited about the CyperCrop we are having a Scrappytimes. It is going to be so much fun. We have all kinds of games/challenges and chats planned! :)

I am working on some fun scrappy things right now. I have a whole lot of time to scrap lately. I am trying to finish somethings though. :) I will post some pics when I get them done! :)

In some other news!! I wanted to let you all know about something I am doing this weekend. I am auditioning at the South City Theatre for a role in their production of Pride and Prejudice. I am very excited and nervous about this. I think it will be a great experience. Even if I don't get a part just auditoning is going to be fun! :) I will keep you all updated on that. Oh and did I mention I have to practice my British accent! :) WoW!

I also wanted to share something else I got today. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE the Twilight series. I am counting down the days until the DVD comes out! :) Today I got a neat new book about the Twilight movie. Its the directors notebook. Its to cool to see how they put the movie together. I have always been interested in the making of movies so this was fun to read. :)

On the job hunt-Some people have asked me about this! I am still looking for a full time teaching position. Its going to be real hard to find one right now with all the cut backs. I ask that you just please continue to keep me in your prayers. I would have to be back in the classroom!

and I cannot sleep. I feel like my brain will not turn off. I try to lay down and get some sleep but I remember things I have forgotten to do. Things I am worried about. I wish I could just lay down and sleep. Sorry to post such a silly thing but this is the third night/the worst night yet. Hopefully tomrrow I can get somethings taken care of that are worrying me and things will be better. :) We shall see. for now. Thanks for letting me rant! Talk to you soon.

Snow Day!

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I have been a bit crazy lately so I havn't had time to blog a lot. I have several thing I want to share with you all! :) The first is that we had a Snow Day today. Now in Alabama this is a big thing. We don't get snow very often. Here are some pictures of the snow we had today! :)

Ok so I havn't shared any of my scrappy work lately! I have a couple of thing I want to share with you all now!

This is a layout I did for a challenge over at Scrap Etc! We had to use the work Crush on the page. This is my celebrity crush Robert Pattinson! :)

This is a layout I did for the Scrappy Times Challenge # 4. We had to use the song "Heart of The Matter" by Don Henley for inspiration. I just love these pictures of my goddaughters.
I also want to thank the DT over at Scrappy Times for allowing me to be the guest designer for Feb. I had such a wonderful time and it was an honor. Thank you again! :)

Well I hope you enjoy the pictures and inspiration! Just some updates. Work is going good. I am working at an afterschool program. I help with the study hall. I am looking for a full time teaching postion for next fall. I am praying that God has one in line for me. I really miss being in the classroom.

I also wanted to ask you to pray for a friend. I will not go into details but She and her family are overseas right now. Her husband is in the Military. They have the possibilty to move back to the states. Please pray that God will bring them back to the states safe and sound.

Have you ever looked back and thought about the dreams you had growing up. There are dreams I have rarely told anyone. I have been thinking about one dream of mine ALOT lately. I want to let you all in on a little secret! I love movies! I have secretly always wanted to be an actress. I am fascinated by how movies are made and how you can step out of your shoes and become this other character. I guess as I grew up I began to think that I was not good enough and I wasnt pretty enough to be in the movie biz. For some reason I have thought about this dream alot lately. I just thought I would share it with you all. Thanks for letting me ramble! :) I am actually going to look into some community theatre and maybe some acting classes ..we shall see. Again, just thought I would share! :)

Hello All! Hope your week is going good. I have had a good week. I wanted to share a couple of things with you all. :)

I made some Valentine cards the other day for a card challenge on Scrappy Times.

I also wanted to share a layout I made at Scappy Times. This was done for a layout recipe game we played.

The Good-The Bad-The Ugly

Today has not been the best of days food wise....for some reason I was so board today...I tried to scrapbook...I got on the Wii fit...I jammed to some music..I surfed the internet....and yet boardom over comes me!!!! and what happens when mr. boardom strikes??? I eat...confounded! I know tomrrow is another day...I guess those days of boardom are going to come..I just need to figure out a strategie for battling boardom. Any suggestions????? I am up for anything you got! I think we weekends are hardest for me..it seems there is to much time on my hands. To many things (food) learking , waiting to get into.

I didn't get much scrapbooking done today..Hopefully after church tomrrow I can get some things finished and work on some new ideas. I know I am behind in my cards. I am trying to play catch up.

Oh if you a Twilight fan! I read today that Taylor Lautner ..The guy who played Jacob Black in Twilight WILL be back for New Moon. I am so excited about this. He did such a wonderful job. I cant wait to see New Moon.

Hi all! I hope you are all doing well. I have had a pretty good week. I am back on Weight Watchers. These first few days have been a challenge. It takes a while to get back in the habit. I have truly enjoyed the support I have been getting from all of the ladies over at SIS TV. I know this journey is only the beginning, and I know that each day will bring new challenges to overcome. I feel like this time I can reach the goals and the outcome I want to reach. I can feel better about who I am.

I am working on some daily cards..I did fall behind. Here are some of the cards I did today.

The Honest Truth!

For those who don't know. I am taking a very inspiring class through the Scrap In Style website. This class is designed to help us on our weight loss journey. No matter what stage you may on in that journey. We were challenged to tell our story. This is very hard to me to write. My weight and my weight loss journey have always been a difficult subject for me but I feel like I need to step out and go for it now. So that said..here is my story...

I need to give you some background about me. I was born with a chromosomal disorder called Turners syndrome. Basically I am missing part of the final pair of chromosomal pairs. Turners can cause heart and kidney problems. It can cause thyroid problems and it causes short stature. I am 29 years old and I am 4 feet 9 inches tall. I have not had any heart problems. I do have one kidney is functioning and one that is to underdeveloped.
As I got older I began to notice the difference in my height and others height. This has never really bothered me. However the teasing does. Growing up I got a lot of questions and was teased about being short. After a while it takes its tole. You begin to feel like you are not good enough. That feeling of being inadequate made my self esteem go way down. Because of the low self esteem I have struggled with my weight for a long time. Would truly look at myself and not like who I am/was. On top of all of this..I carry my emotions very near to my heart. Many times I would turn to food for comfort or to celebrate. Eating for me has been tied to my emotions. I have tried over the last several year to lose some weight. I have tried dieting on my own, diet pills and other programs. The one program I found that actually worked was Weight Watchers. The first time I joined WW I lost 25lbs..I went from a size 20 to a 14...WoW I was feeling so much better. Unfortunately, I fell of the WW wagon. I gained the weight back with a little more added. I have tried two other times to start WW but would just leave again after awhile. I know it works. I just need the motivation and the will power to stick with it. Over the last few years so much has happend that has sent my life upside down. My parents separated and then divorced. I lost two of my grandparents within less than two months. I have struggled with jobs and finances. Again, I let food be my comfort when things are hard. I let it control me at times. I feel like along the way I have lost who LeAnne is. I know now that I am ready to find myself..to love myself ..to be happy again. I am going to start WW again. I have a wonderful group of friends who are going to help be my support...as I will be theirs!..I am looking forward to this journey, to finishing this story with a happy ending..cause I am in control of the ending!

You may read this and think ...what is she writing this...well its the truth..its who I am. I am ready to embrace who I am. This is something I wrote on one of my scrapbook pages

"I may not be able to reach the top shelf. My legs may not run as fast as yours. I may be my brothers little-big sister but being different is not a bad thing. It is what makes me who I am …it makes ME special. " I know I am special...Now its time to feel special! :) :)

Daily Cards and other such fun!!

I am trying to make a daily card. These could be related to a holiday or special event or just some inspiration to send someone! So far I have made my first two. Here are the pictures of my first two cards!

I am really enjoying this challenge. Its such a fun way to create something each day! I am also trying to take a photo a day! I just think this will be a fun way for me to improve my photography skills and just have some fun.

I have several other scrappy challenges I am planning on working on. I will have to post some picture when I finish those!

Moms birthday is coming up on Sunday! I think we are planning on going to see Marley and Me. She has been wanting to see that movie!

Happy New Year to you all!! I hope you all have had a wonderful first day of 09! I have had a wonderful lunch with my family. We always have to much food. My mom made a wonderful Coconut cake that is to die for! :) Last night (New Years Eve) we just stayed at home and enjoyed the evening together.

I am so excited !!! I just had to share this news! I have been chosen as the memeber of the month over at Scrappy Times! This is such an honor! I just love all the talented ladies over there. I want to thank them for allowing to be the Member of the Month. Since I am the Member of the Month I will get to be a guess design team girl in Feb. I am so looking forward to this. Merry Christmas!!!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! My family and I were in Wetumpka for Christmas day. We had a wonderful time together! We ate lots and lots and lots of food. We played dirty santa. I got three gift cards one for Zaxbys, Chic Fil A, and McD's. I just love being with family on such special days!! Did you get lots of gifts from Santa!? I think my favorite gift is my new Zutter bind it all! I can now bind my own scrapbooks and journals. Its very cool. I also got some movies. I have the new Prince Caspian movie. I love Narnia! Oh and my brother got me a gift card to my local scrapbook store! Cant wait to spend that! :)

Today is my cousin Laci's Birthday! Happy 2nd Birthday baby girl!! :) Love ya!

Scrapp News!
Well I have some project still in the works that I am working on. I had told you all about the Scrappy Times design team that I had sent some work in for. Well I didnt make the team this time. But I will say that they have wonderful and talented ladies that are the team and I look forward to what they have in store for this up coming site! Its so fun! Thank you Jacqueline for the opportunity try for the team..I know you had a very difficult decision to make. I dont know that I could have made it!! :)

Job news
I didnt hear anything back from the interview in Millbrook. I am assuming that I did not get the job and thats ok. I know that God has a plan for me. I am just following His lead. I know He will put me where he needs me to be. :)

Ok so I am waiting on pins and needles to find out if I got the job in Millbrook. I didn't hear anything today. I am going to follow up on it tomrrow.

In some scrappy news. I sent a submission to Scrappy Times(http://scrappytimes.ning.com/) for there design team. This is the first time I have ever sent my work in to be judged for a design team. I am excited. I have been working on some Christmas cards. I will have to post some pictures tomrrow. If you having checked out Scrappy Times you should. There is some great talent over there. I have some other scapbooking projects I am working on.

I cannot believe that next week is Christmas. It has come so fast. I still have some shopping to do. It may the last min. but I will get it all done. :)

Job Interview!!

Ok I know its like 12:45 in the morning but I am up and blogging away. I have some wonderful news I wanted to share! I got a call this morning from Millbrook Jr. High school. They want me to come in for an interview. They have a 6th grade position open. I am going in on Wed. I am so excited about this interview. I am also a bit nervous. I know it will go well.

I ended up having to babysit today so I didnt get my cleaning finished and I didnt get to work on some scrap stuff I need to finish. Hopefully tomrrow I can finish it. I am working on some things to submit for a new design team over at Scrappy Times. I did finish some "Thankful" ATC's I was working on. I will try to post a pic of those tomrrow.

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a good weekend so far. I have a lot going on this weekend. Tomrrow is my dad's family Christmas. I am going to Jemison to my aunt house for our Christmas. We always play dirty santa and have some yummy stuff to eat. I will have to post some pictures tomrrow. I made deviled eggs to take tomrrow. It's one of the few things I can make...I am not much of a cook but I am learning. This week I tried Sausage balls (they turned out good), I tried Cream of Wheat (dont ask about that one! ), and I tried Bananna Pudding and well lets just say I think my pudding cooked a little to long. It wasn't bad but it wasnt good either :) LOL! I am branching out though and trying my hand a learning to cook. My mom and my brother are good cooks so I have some good teachers! :)

I wanted to post a little some somthing scrappy! I made some ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) for the New Moon Swap I am doing on Scrap In Style Tv. I used the Tim Holtz mask for the first time and I love it. Its the music notes mask, cause my quote is " You want a nice stereo? Drive your Own car" From New Moon. Oh and if you havn't read the Twilight series I highly recommend it! :) So here is a pic of my cards.

A rough week ...then the Tide Rolled Away.

This has been a bit of a rough week. For those who dont know. Last year at this time we lost my Grandfather (Oct 26) and my Grandmother (Dec 5) with in a few weeks of each other. It has been a week of reflection for me. I have learned alot over the last year. I have learned to never take people and experiences for granted because you are never promised another. I have learned that know matter what..tell your family you love them...even if you think they already know. Live and love each day to the fullest you can. Cherish all the adventures you have during the day...even if its a trip through the drive through! :) Try not to doubt the person God wants you to be... and finally LOVE...with all your heart and soul...Love yourself..your family...your friends!

I am trying to get myself into more of the holiday spirit. I have pulled out some decorations and I am working on some home made decorations. Time just seems to get away from me. By the end of the day I still have a huge list of things to do. Also my dad asked me what I want/needed for Christmas this year...honestly ..I dont know. I guess I feel like I have all that I truly need..other than a few clothing items. I dont really NEED anything. I did asked him if he could find me a job....LOL! He said sorry honey cant help there! :) Oh well...I had to try :) My mom and I are working on a Dec Daily album. One of our projects....we are still trying to get it all put together. I will post some pics as soon as we get some of it done.

A bit of good news. I was having some trouble with my camera. Well I finally got it to Best Buy. A manager and the geek squad looked at it...turns out ....I needed a new battery. They said the other battery could have shorted out or something like that...we put a new batter in and whala! Now I have to call and get them to send me another battery because my batteries are covered under my service plan.

The Tide rolled away ...Tonight was the big SEC championship game between Alabama and the FL Gators. I got to listen to most of the game and caught the 4th quarter on TV. It was a good game but sadly my Crimson Tide lost to the Gators. I will give them props though for a great year and great game played. They are winners in my book.

Thanksgiving, Iron Bowl and Cameras....OH MY!

Hello all! I hope you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great one. My cousin Jackie opened up her home this year for our family Thanksgiving. Its was so nice to be around family. This time of year is a little difficult for our family. It was this time last year that we lost both my grandfather and my grandmother. Having a family get gathering always make me remember all the little things about them. What they would make...where they would be sitting...I found myself looking around and feeling like something was missing. I know they were there in spirit though.

One of the things we did on Thanksgiving day was go to the park. Some of my cousins, my uncle and I pack into the car and went to Buck Creek park. It was so much fun. There were monkey bars to clime on, Swings to swing in and slides to go down. Oh and chasing some squirrels is always fun! :)

We had lots to eat....and if you know my family....we always have enough to feed an army. Turkey, Sweet potatoes, green beans, butter beans, dressing, potatoe casseroale, pine apple casserole...and more and more and more...:) and the desserts..well they were WONDERFUL! too.

The weekend after Thanksgiving we went to Montgomery to my cousin Chris and Amanda's house to watch the Iron Bowl. Auburn vs. Alabama. We had a fish fry and lots more food to eat. Oh and we watched Alabama beat Auburn 36-0 !! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! :)

Ok so on Thanksgiving my favorite camera..my Nikon D40 was working just fine....snapping up some pictures! But as I was uploading some of my pictures it just quit....will not come on...battery will not charge...just nada....I am taking it to Best Buy and hoping a new battery is alll I need but I am just not sure. I hope my camera is not fried...I will cry if they tell me that. I do have a warrenty so thats a good thing.

I went to see Twilight last night...midnight show! The movie was GREAT! However, like all movies that come from books...the book is better. If you havn't read the book ...read it quick! :) Now can I just say that I am in Love with Rob Pattinson. He is sooo cute! I loved the movie. They did leave some things out that I would like to have seen in the movie. I will say Edward sparkling was beautiful. They did a good job with that. The makeup they had on Carlise was a little to much. The chemestry between Edward and Bella was good. I just cannot say enough about this movie. I am ready to go see it again. My mom hasnt read the book yet..I told her she needed to read the book before she saw the movie again. She did enjoy the movie though. If you went to see the movie or are going to see it....let me know your thoughts...I could talk Twilight all day long! :)

1. I am a wanna be singer....LOL! I love to sing in my room...in the shower..I love to sing...that doesnt mean I am any good though! :)

2. When I want to get away...I like to go to the zoo! Kind of hard now though when its cold.

3. Hello my name is LeAnne and I am addicted to coca cola! It is my coffee in the morning.

4. I still have my entire Baby-sitters club book collection..I just cant give them away.

5. I am claustrophobic...I hate being in a crowd of people and not seeing a door....I go into panic mode....I think its because sometimes I can't see over them...LOL and I feel trapped.

6. I love to write poetry. I have a collection of poems that I started in High School.

Last night my friend and I went to the Reba/Kelly Clarkson Concert. I have had a rough week so this was a good way to relax. The concert was WONDERFUL! They are both amazing singers. We also got to see Melissa Peterman who played Barbra Jean on the Reba show. She is soooo funny. We got such a kick out of watching her. Reba and Kelly sang togther the whole night. They did a mix of songs that both of them had recorded. I think my favorites where Fancy and Breakaway. Here is a picture.

Well to start will mom and I had an AMAZING TIME at the Scrap Etc Wrappers Delight weekend. We took some great classes with some fab teachers. I dont know how much scrapping I actually got done but it was all sooooo worth it. We played games, chatted with friends...ran to get on squares..LOL! and had a wonderful time at a Holiday Party. Thank you to all the ladies and Scrap Etc for a wonderful Christmas filled weekend. I am so in the Christmas spirit now.

I had to take some breaks Sat to listen/watch the Alabama game!!!! One word ...just one word.....WOW!!! I think I was holding my breath during that overtime. Man oh Man! But STILL NUMBER 1!!!

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope all the kidos had fun trick or treating.

I went to the pumpkin patch today with my cousins. It was fun. We went to the one in Clanton. They got to go on a hayride, pick a pumpkin, ride ponies, go through a petting zoo, and slide on some inflatables. They had a blast :)

Mom and are just here tonight giving out candy to the kidos that come by...not many this year.

Twilight

If you havn't read the Twilight series.....you should!!!! I am so excited I looked online today and found that we can preorder tickets to the movie. I am just giddy with this news I am bouncing out of my chair. I think I am more excited about this movie than I was about Harry Potter. And did I mention that Robert Pattinson is just well....sexy! :) and a good actor! :) I had to go on my little Twilight rant! Back to swooning over Robert! :)

Hold on tight! Thats all I can do right now. Life is such a rollercoaster sometimes. You have ups and you have downs. What I have learned is that its how you handle the bumps, curves and loops of life that teach you who you are. The challenges that define you as a person. Looking back on this part of my life. I hope that one day I will look back and think man that was a doozy of a ride but I held my seat, gritted my teeth and went for the ride.

I am substituting now. I have three jobs lined up right now in the next few weeks. I hoping to get more lined up soon. It is so different being in a classroom as a sub than as the classroom teacher. In all honesty it makes me miss it. There are rough days, there are good days in teaching... and I miss all of them. I miss the lightbulbs going off when they finally get something I have taught. I miss the questions...all of the questions...most of all I just miss being with the kids. I know I will get back to class soon. I can't wait until I do.

I have to share this. I got in a fender bender today. I was in stop and go traffic and a lady hit the back of my car. I got out check the damage. She asked if I wanted to call the police. I asked her to hold on and I called my mom to see what I should do. When I turned around ...she was gone...I have no info or even remember what kind of car it was. I feel bad because I should have been a little smarter and gotten her info at least before I called mom...but I hate that someone could be so disrepectful and rude and well...... and just leave. .Oh and yes I am ok..no problems with me:)...just a little sad it happened.

I am going to do some scrapping tomrrow. I will try to post some pics here when I get somethings finished. I am going to work on a journal for something I am going to start. (More on that later )

A Little Nervous

I am substituting for the first time tomorrow. I am a little nervous. I am used to being in the classroom. I love teaching and the kids. I guess I just feel like I am doubting myself a little after being let go at the end of last year and then not finding a job this summer. I am hoping that embarking into substituting will lead to a full time position in the future.

Sorry its been a while. I am not the best at keeping up with this blog. :) I have had a lot going on. I am still job hunting. I have to go next week to take the substitute class. Its basically to learn the computer program used for subs. I am going to get the paperwork to sub for the Chilton County System. I am still looking for a full time position. It is getting frustraiting and scary. I just wish I knew how this was all going to turn out. I am trying to keep my faith but its hard.

My mom and I are going to try and start planning a game night for our family. We are trying to come up with a neat invitaition to make. I am excited about this. I think it will be fun. We are looking at games like Monopoly, clue, scrabble, uno and someothers.

Did you all watch the AL-GA game!! WOW what a game. I was on the edge of the couch. :)

Some of my favorite TV shows started again this week. Grey's, Ugly Betty and Extream Makeover Home. I am waiting on Private Practice to start Wed.

Ok. Scrap news- I have been working on several ATC(Artist Trading Card) sets. I did one for a Audrey Hepburn Swap. I have also gotten in to making cards. I made these Halloween ATC's for a swap at Scrap Etc. I think they turned out so fun! :)

I love Halloween. I am planning on making some Halloween cards and hopefully some other decorations. :)

To update the job hunt. I am waiting for my letter about the sub position. I know all my paperwork went through. I just have to take a class on Oct 9th. Then I can sub. I am still looking for a full time position. I applied for a 3rd grade position at Maplesville High School. Hopefully I will hear from that.

I went to the thrift store the other day. I haven't been in a while. I went searching for some scrappy things. I found some old music books, some old LP's, an old dictionary, and a box of transparenies. I will have to post some pics of the layouts I make with these finds. If you havn't been to the thrift store lately you should go. You can find some neat things there.

This is a picture of a set of ATC's that I did for an ATC swap. These are the Grey's ATC swap. I am addicted to ATC's lately. They are just so fun . Right now I am working on some Audrey Hepburn ATC's for a swap. I am planning on starting some Hallween ATC next. I have an address book that I made. I will have to post a picture later. I made it or a challenge but can't post a pic yet. :)

Been a while...

Hope you are all doing well. I have been pretty good. I wanted to give you all an update on the job situation. I have put in the paper work for substituting here in the Shelby County area. I may look into getting on the sub list for the Chilton County area. I am hoping this will help me get my name out there. It was my original plan to go this route but what is MY plan anyway. I am still keeping an eye out for full time postions. So hopefully I will get on the sub list soon.

I was glad to hear the bama won there game this weekend. I didn't get to watch it because it was on pay per view.

Oh and I am so excited my friend and I got tickets to the Reba McEntire/ Kelly Clarkson concert in November. I love Reba.She is just amazing. I had to laugh last night...my cousin Lindsey sent me a text/picture on my cell phone of her at the Kenny Chesney concert...she had on a VIP pass!!!! I am soooo jealous! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kenny Chesney. I have tried for 5 years to get to his concert in Birmingham but just havn't been able to go yet.

For those who don't know I am doing a contest on the Scrap In Style website. Its called Project Catwalk. We get a challenge every Wed. after the show Project Runway (on Bravo). Its been a little while....

I know its been a while since i've updated my blog so here goes. I am still looking for a job. I have decided to put my name on the Substitute list. At least I would have some kind of income coming in. I am still going to look for a full time job but I need an income :) Just continue to keep the prayers going up. Hopefully I will be a working woman again soon..in some form or fashion :)

I am sitting here now listening to the CMA Music Festival on TV. I love country music. Josh Turner is on right now...his voice is just awsome. I went to Nashville back in April. I am so ready to back..I had such a good time. My mom and I didn't get to see all we wanted to see.

SCRAPPY NEWS: This is a clipboard that I altered for a project on Scrap In Style TV. I just love the colors. The messege mean a lot right now. Its been rough the last few weeks, but I alway know that Home is Where the Heart is. I can always come home to whether any storm. :)

This week has been a crazy one. I have had lot of things going on. I am still on the job hunt. I know that a couple of the positions have been filled. I have an application in at Eclectic Elementary School for a 4th grade position. I will let you all know how that turns out.

Labor Day! I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day. Mine was good. Filled with lots of food! We went to Montgomery to visit family. It was nice. We had not had a family get together in a while. (Lindsey , Jarrod, and Jonathon we missed you all. )

Goings on...

ok..so what going on?? Well I am STILL looking for a job. I have applied for a postion at Wetumpka Elementry. I am hoping to hear from them. The posting for that position goes until tomrrow so I think they make interview appintments next week (I hope). I havent heard anything from Robinson Springs. I am assuming that they have filled the position by now. So all that said...the search goes on...the stress continues!

I am really sad about something right now...as some of you may have figured out by now I am a huge fan of the Twilight book series. The author Stephanie Meyer released the finial book in the series on Aug 2. What saddens me is this...There was suppost to be another part to the series called Midnight Sun. I found out today that someone got a copy of the draft to the book. Because of this Stephanie Meyer has decided to put Midnight Sun on hold indefinantly. This just makes me soooo sad. I hate that people would do that to an author and to the fans who have enjoyed the series.

So tell me....got any Labor Day plans?? I think my family and I are going to get togther on Monday. I am excited about this. I havnt see all my family together in a while :). I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend.

Scrap News! Lets see..I am working on finishing an album called One Summer..its a class kit I bought. I will document some of the hightlights and possibly some lowlights :) of this crazy summer. I will post some pics when I finish.

Rainy days..

I love rainy days...we have had rain today off and on all day. Its been nice to just sit and listen to the rain. Very relaxing! I have been in a cleaning mode today. I have been working on getting my room in order.. I have had scrapbook stuff pulled out in my room so I had to but it back in the scraproom where it belongs :)

I am still waiting to hear about a couple of job positions. I havn't hear from Robinson Springs. I have also applied for a position at Wetumpka Elementary. They have a Kindergarten position available. Still looking in Shelby and Chilton County too. God has a place for me.. I just hope it opens up soon :) :)

Today..

Today has been a quiet day...a good day to stay inside. It was rainy this morning. We are keeping an eye in Fey and what she is doing. Looks like we will get some rain the next few days. I am hoping to talk to some principals this week. Maybe I will have some news to share soon.

Did you check out my playlist...I just figured out how add one of these :) Gatta have my music. Still working on the play list.

I went to church this moring..for those who dont know..I am teaching the 5 year old Sunday school class at my church. Well today I helped in the nursery. I must say I really remembered today why I love kids. I had so much fun with them. They always remind me of the inoccents of youth. I was reminded of why I went into teaching and just how much of an impact we as adults have out their young lives. It is so sweet to hear them pray for their parents and their family. It was great.

Movies...If you havnt seen Vantage Point....watch it. Mom and I watched it tonight and it was pretty good. Its one of those movies that you have watch it carefully to figure out what is going on. What movies are you all watching right now....I love movies! :)

Saturday Happenings :)

Today was a pretty good day. I stayed at home most of the day. It has rained most of the day. Tonight I went to have dinner with my Sunday School class. We had an italian night. It was nice to be with friends and just relax and chat. We played Xbox and just hung out. :) I still havn't had time to take pictures of my reunion album. I didnt get it in from the rain yet, I will try to do that tomrrow. I have a prayer request to ask of you all. Please pray for my job situation. I need all the prayer I can get. I got papers yesterday that my insurance is going to run out soon. This is a big worry for me right now. I hope you are all having a good weekend. Stay safe and dry :)

Hello out there!! Hope you all had a wonderful Friday! Mine was pretty good. I spent the day working on an album of my 10 year high school reunion. It turned out pretty good. I will see if I can post a link to some pictures this weekend. I am still job hunting. I did have a call from the principal at Robinson Springs but so far no luck in setting up an interview. I am just so downhearted about this. I had a huge talk with God last night. See I am one who hates change..is scares me to death. I have realized lately though that change will come weather you are ready or not. So I just have to get better about accepting change. That is what I talked to God about last night..accepting change and learing to better accept the road He has me going down at the moment. As scared as I am right now, I know that if I keep on His path and keep looking for what He wants for me I will be ok. So, God I am READY for the change you have for me:)
I cannt believe that September is right around the corner. I guess its true that as you get older..the years go faster (boy do they). I feel like this whole year is flying by. Well I am going to quit rambling on. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Be safe :)

How is everyone today! I hope all is well. I have some news on the job front. I did get a call today from Robinson Spring Elem in Millbrook...The principal did get my application. (yeah!) She asked me to email her and remind her to set up an interview with her. For those who dont know. My mom and I have talked about moving back towards Mongomery for while now. I just feel like God has His hand on this. I feel like if this job could be a step toward a bigger move. I ask that you all keep my family and I in your prayers. Right now I am still looking, hoping for some other calls.

As for the other news....well there is not much :) LOL! I just guess I am kind of boring at the moment :)

I am working in some scrapbooking layouts I will post them when I get them finished.

Well today has been kind of a laid back day. I have just been able to relax a little :) I havnt heard from any of the schools. I did have an interview at Christian School. Basically they told me I was overqualified for the job I was appling for. Oh well. I know I will find something. I did have a friend call and tell me about a job at Inverness Elementary for a Kindergarten position. I took a resume right over :) I also am hoping to hear from the school in Millbrook. Both of these jobs sound great.

I wanted to share some of the things I have been working on with my scrapbooking :) There is one black and white that I did of my goddaughters.

Hey everyone! Ok so I am going to try hard to keep up with the whole blogging thing. I just ask that you bear with me. I am still trying to figure this whole thing out. So lets see....I am still looking for a job. I have tried all summer to find one with no avail . I know that God has a job out there for me and He will put me in that job when the time is right. Right now I am babysitting and working on some scrapbooking projects. I do have a job interview tomrrow at a christian school in Hoover. I have also applied to a school in Elmore county called Robinson Springs Elementary. Please keep me in your prayers as a continue to look. Well I will update tomrrow. I hope you all take care...talk to you soon. :)

Summer Plans

Ok with school offically out for the summer its time for some fun...well not to much right? At the moment I am still trying not to stress over the fact that the Legilature has still not passed the budget for 08-09.. I think are close though. However I just do not know if I have a job next year. I will keep you all informed on how that turns out. Now for the fun...I am leaving on Friday for Kansas to visit my best friend and sister Brandy and her family. I am so looking forward to spending some time with my Goddaughters. I havent seen them in a year. I will be there until June 8th. Then I plan on scrapbooking until my fingers hurt :) . I just have very little time during the school year to scrap so I plan on using my summer wisely. I will have to post when I get a project completed..if I can figure out how to post a pic on this blog ...LOL! I am also planning to try to take short vacation with my mom. I think we both need it. Well I am off to see if I can figure this blog out.. Night All!!
